“Mini Watermelon” is an original 8”x10” oil painting by Cape Cod artist Michael R. Mills, celebrating the lush color and natural geometry of fresh watermelon slices. In this realistic still life painting, a halved watermelon sits prominently on a wooden surface, with vibrant red wedges fanned around it — their juicy interiors catching the light against a moody charcoal backdrop.

With crisp edges, bold color contrast, and careful lighting, Mills brings the summer fruit to life with his signature style of contemporary realism. The composition is both playful and grounded, evoking memories of warm days and simple pleasures.

Ideal for collectors of fruit still life art, seasonal produce paintings, or anyone seeking fine art for kitchen or dining room decor, this piece adds boldness, freshness, and joy to any setting.
